| I've worked as a domiciliary worker for 2 and a half years, I now work in a Care Home but I am looking to work as a private carer. I have a lot of experience mainly supporting the elderly but I support all ages. I have an excellent rapport with my clients and there families. I have experience in dementia care, elderly care, special needs and physical disabilities. I have supported both children and adults and currently have a DBS on the update system for adults and children. I can be there even if a person just needs a companion to talk to and keep company. I can provide personal care if needed and will do so with dignity and respect. I will also cook and prepare meals if needed and cary out daily household tasks and any other responsibilities that an individual may need support with. I can take the person I am caring for out into the community if required, how every this would be by public transport. | Firstly, I have experience in providing personal care and assistance to individuals with disabilities and children with SEND within their own homes and out in the community. Also, I am very passionate about helping people to achieve their goals and aspirations. I work closely with individuals to establish individualized plans that incorporate their needs, choices, goals and aspirations. More so, I have experience in offering advice on independent living skills such as food preparation, budgeting bills, shopping, cleaning and laundry. As part of my role I have had experience in liaising with social services, educational institutions and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best quality of life outcomes for the individuals that I have supported. In summary, I consider myself to be an approachable person who has strong communication skills both written and verbal. I am able to communicate effectively with individuals from all walks of life including clients, their families and other professionals whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.

| I started as a home carer in 1992, working for my local authority, during my time there i completed nvq levels 2 and 3. This lead to further my career and i became a training officer , assessor and verifyer for level 2 and 3. Eventually i transferred my skills and moved to the occupational health team within another borough and continued supporting the elderly and vulnerable within the community.

| I worked as a cleaner and care assistant in a residential home for two years before my children were born, and for the past year I have been a full time carer for a disabled lady, helping her with every task of every day living including toileting, dressing, mobility, and using a hoist, wheelchair, and other mobility aids to go about her everyday life.

| I looked after my poorly nana for 3 years before she sadly passed away. She was my life. I took her shopping, bingo, and pushed her everywhere she wanted to go. I showered her, tidy her house, sorted her bills, medication, doctor and hospital appointments. Helped her getting dressed going to the toilet etc.

| I have looked after friends elderly parents and I have been looking after my nan for the last year as she has been told she has dementia.

| I am a punctual and reliable individual. I was inspired and became very eager and interested in this line of work after seeing the care that was given to immediate members of my family and the impact they had on not only their lives but our lives and mine I want to be able to do that for other people’s families and relatives and help them through the good and bad times.

| I am an assistant psychologist working. My job is predominately indirect work, and something I miss is being with people and helping people directly. I worked for 2 years as a support worker with Mencap, were I supported elderly individuals who also have learning disabilities and other comorbidities. During this, I supported individuals with there personal care, household tasks, meal preparation, supporting them out and about etc. I also have worked as a nursing assistant with teens, supporting them with there mental health needs. I know how lonely it can be as an elderly person due to my fiancés grandmother struggling at present, and would love to be able to offer my companionship to support someone.
