I find caring and enabling others a very rewarding career and have been offering this service for nearly 30 years. For the last 3 years I have been working self employed, prior to that I spent 8 years on the wards in a private hospital, working alongside the registered nurses where I studied to become an assistant practitioner. My experience has taught me how to recognise signs of deterioration, safe moving & handling along with many other skills. I have experience & knowledge in supporting the elderly, persons with dementia and people with learning difficulties. I am happy to assist with any duties including personal care, housekeeping, shopping, companionship, anything that enables someone to maintain their independence . Foundation degree in Health & Social care level 5, certificate in foot care. References, DBS, qualifications and certificates of training received, available on request. | I feel the companionship and relationship aspect of care is greatly important to the quality of the client's life. I spent many years in the company of my great grandmother, assisting with general day to day tasks as well as spending time with her. Also, I domestically cared for another member of my family while he was terminally ill. These experiences were before I was trained or qualified in care, however, they are the sole reason I wanted to pursue care work. I feel it is vital to give back in the community and taking care of people I feel has the greatest rewards. I have had experience within a residential care home which primarily cared for residents with various stages of dementia. I have had a great deal of experience in domestic duties of care such as cleaning a home, shopping, assisting with meals and feeding and other day to day activities including full personal care duties. I have a caring and helpful nature. I feel caring and looking after people comes very naturally to me. I strive to assist people and help with their needs.

I specialise with people living with dementia and like to enable them to stay in their own home as long as possible. I am caring, patient and work hard as well as treating everyone with a person centred approach. I will come and assist you to get up and ready for the day, make meals and do light housework! Iv worked with people with dementia, parkinsons, Ms, strokes, heart attacks and adults with learning disabilities/disabled. Im very flexible and also provide call outs threw the night.

| Hi my name is MARINA I have been a carer for over 15 years. I used to look after children until my own children went to secondary school and then trained as a carer after a sad experience with a family member of mine who was in a care home. I trained as a carer as I wanted to help people to be looked after in there own homes . I worked in a brain injury unit with young people and done personal care and medication for them. I also have done overnight care for cancer patients who needed palliative care in there own homes as that was there dieing wish to be at home. I have also done live in work. I am a happy go lucky lady born and bread from Surrey moved to Dorset last year. I have done my NVQ 2 moving and handling courses first aid dementia health and safety and hoist work. I have worked for some good companies so all my training is upto date.

| I have been looking after families for over 20 years,from nannying to elderly care. I am passionate about allowing our seniors to continue living within their own homes with a little added support and companionship where needed. From assistance with all household chores,cooking ,Shopping,companionship , help with mobility, dog walking etc.A minimum of 2 hours per visit tailored to suit your needs as each situation is different. I have full public liability insurance and qualifications in Elderly Care, health and safety for the elderly a diploma in Dementia care, Enhanced DBS, full courses in CPR and First Aid. | I worked as a caregiver and a licensed administrator for an assisted living facility for 2 and a half years. I have experience with specifically Alzheimer’s and dementia care. I have been trained in medication and also CPR and first aid.

| I have over 30 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist working, primarily, with people with complex disabilities. Excellent manual handling skills. I particularly like working with people who may be prone to self-neglect , early dementia or who need someone to not only do things for them, but also help them to be more independent. I have also previously worked as a chef and if you have a loved one who needs meals prepared then I would enjoy providing them with meals of their choice.
