Dementia Care Grantham

| I have many years of experience working and volunteering in care homes and home care. I currently volunteer for the Alzheimer society, attending dementia cafes around Lincolnshire. I want to be to give the individual I'm caring for a better experience with extra support and companionship. This takes time and is commonly found difficult at a care home with a large amount of people, sometimes only the very base levels of care are reached. I can provide a respite service when needed for people, be an extra hand and aid in giving you peace of mind when it comes to your loved one. It is important that the people I care for enjoy my company and get something out of my visits, for this reason, visits can be very adaptable to suit any and all needs. | Now living in Grantham NG31..A little bit about my precious experiences. I have over 20 years experience in the care industry, my experiences ranges from community care, live-in care, senior carer in a dementia care home and most recently working locally as a care services supervisor(office based). I am able to offer a range of care services from personal care, housekeeping, medication prompt, assistance with appointments, general wellbeing including food and fluid. My working hours will be Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm additional hours by prior arrangement.

| I have been a carer now for nearly 2 years and I enjoy it immensely. I do not see it as a job , I see it as helping people stay independent ,in their own homes , with the dignity they deserve . I have experience with personal care, medication, equipment , catheters , communication with doctors and District nurses , spotting signs of infection, I've worked with dementia patients, Parkinson , and palliative care...every aspect of care and with 20 years experience as a housekeeper I keep a home clean and tidy .

| Laura's Caring Service provides a trusted, friendly, professional private homecare for anyone who needs support to live safely for longer in their own homes. As well as providing care, support and advice for individuals with Dementia, I provide Companionship services and Personal care. Duties include, Prompting and monitoring medication. Help with meal preparation and nutrition. Maintaining hobbies, interests, independance and encouraging daily activities. Cleaning and Laundry. Dressing guidance to help a client feel good about their appearance. Bathing. Toileting and catheter care. Oral Hygiene. Help with transferring, positioning and mobility. I have a level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
