Elderly Care in Gainsborough

| I have worked in education up until 2 years ago, teaching secondary students. I am fortunate this provided me with a fulfilling vocation for the last 25 years. I am patient, kind, intuitive & caring. After nursing my mum through palliative care in 2020, I felt a need to explore the care profession. In the past, I have visited residential care homes to offer nail care but really it was the companionship that was valued. I assist in my village on a regular basis for the elderly residents that live alone & enjoy spending time with individuals that need to express their life experiences. I own my own car & am currently not working, therefore able to work with flexibility. I have been married 32 years & our daughter no longer lives at home. I love to travel, garden, read & socialise. I take care of my health by partaking in regular 5K runs at the weekends. The above interests allow me to communicate with a broad range of people. I assist with bathing, showering, feeding, socialising, going on doctor's or hospital appointments, dressing and helping them have a good ###.## looking for 25-30 hours a week

| I am a self employed personal assistant, I have over 3 years experience working in different care settings. I have level 4 & 5 qualification in health and social care. I have worked with elderly, learning disabilities, palliative care, end of life care and long term illnesses. I am a mother of 3, two girls and a boy. My son is disabled so I understand more than most how important the right care is and the value of person centred care. My availability is morning, dinner, tea and bed visits, day sits, well-being checks and overnight sits. I cover Gainsborough and surrounding areas.

| I have my own family and have recently worked for Ageuk on a hospital ward for elderly patients who required company and rehab. I have a nice personality and love interacting with everyone, but especially the older generation as they have so many good stories to tell!. Sorry, I am unable to do personal care. I have 2 dogs and a bearded dragon and used to have many other animals like cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs. Would love to have a sugar glider one day!
