Elderly Care in North Somerset

| I have an abundance of experience working with the elderly. I have experience working in a care home as a Health Care Assistance where I worked on the end of life and dementia ward. This included personal care and domestic duties. I also worked as a server in a residential home. More personally I helped to care for my Great Grandmother with end care dementia which really helped me to develop patient centred care and an individual passion for helping others.

| I have an NVQ Level 2 in Adult Social care and I am trained in catheter care and stoma care and can use all Hoisting and drive mobility vehicles

| I have 13 years experience in the nursing and care industry. I studied health and social care at university and gained a diploma. I spent most of my years working with older adults specialising in Dementia Care. For the last 3 years I worked in a care home as a home trainer, training care assistants in the principles of care and guiding them through and mentoring in the completion of the care certificate. I miss having a hands on role and am looking forward to working with people and brightening their day again. My aim is to make sure you or your loved one are treated with dignity and respect and provide help where it’s needed most. I’m here to help in every aspect of daily living needs to ensure that living safely and comfortably in your own home is possible. - cleaning - medication -personal care - manual handling - meal preperation - trips out - shopping - hospital appointments - a friendly face for a natter and a cup of tea

| I provide an activities programme in a care setting and am expanding privately to help people stay in their own home longer. I provide stimulation and also help where needed around the house. I can offer creative activities or any that fit in with your hobbies and interests.

| I have grown up in the care industry so always been around residential homes. I have been doing private care for the last 5 years as well as a full time job. I would like to grow my care family and add in some more clients. I can provide excellent references from my current and previous ladies.
