| My name is katie. I have worked in child care all my life so far. I studied child care both during school and at college. During my college years i worked for a lady who had a new born and a 5 year old and worked for her up until her youngest was around 3 when he went to a nursery. During this evening and weekend work i would do household jobs such as...Changing the bed sheets (putting new sheets on) Emptying the dishwasher Cooking for both children Bathing Putting to bed Overnight help (one weekend) Pick up from nursery. (After 4pm as i work till 3:15. I also worked in child care from a young age as my parents own an orphanage abroad so i was accustomed to feeding babys and changing nappy's from the age of 10 upwards. I am a fun energetic lady who likes to keep children ammused from story telling to park visits. Imaginative play with toys is very important and so i enjoy ensuring they have every oportunity to learn! Having worked in a pre school for around 4 years now i like to bring my learning in to baby sitting and caring for children so encourage them with your permission to develop there own personalities and independance.
