Childcare in Salford

| Since the age of 14 I have worked as a volunteer and as a paid member of staff at a centre for disabled children. I worked on one-to-one basis caring for their everyday needs. I worked in the school holidays as a support worker where I gained training and experience working with complex health needs. I worked at the centre as a youth worker where I had the responsibilities of being a key worker for three children. In addition to this I have had two respite jobs where I care for children with complex health needs. I offer their parents a period of rest while I take them on activities such as music groups and swimming. I have worked as a nanny for a family 1-2 times a week working with twin babies aged 6 months and a 3 year old. I would do fun and stimulating activities with them and ensure their mental, physical and behavioural needs were always met. I was their sole care provider whilst their parents were at work. I also lived in for this family on occasion and accompanied them on holiday. At present, I work as a Team Leader in a care home managing a team of carers, administrating medication to residents and ensuring their health and well-being at all times.

I have recently arrived home from working in turkey in the children's mini club at a 5 star hotel. Here, all children were under my responsibility and safe guarding those children played a huge part in the role for me. Activities, games etc i love to get involved with too.
