| I’m 21 years old and currently studying for my degree in contemporary arts, in my second year. Before this I studied childcare for a year which gave me a level 5 qualification, along with training in first aid and a PVG certificate. Although I am very young, I’ve had experience with looking after kids since I was 16. I have 9 soon to be 10 nieces and nephews ranging from 9 months to 11 years old. I have spent my days off university informally baby sitting whilst my siblings work. A typical day includes making breakfast, getting them ready, keeping them entertained etc. Having enjoyed it so much I’ve decided to peruse it as a way of earning extra money. I’m pretty flexible especially in the summer. During my term time in university I’m available 2 weekdays and every weekend, day or night. I’m also a non smoker and very rarely drink. My background with the arts is something I love to introduce to the kids I look after. My main aim is so spend my time doing something I love which is looking after children.

| I am a 20-year-old student from Poland and I'm currently studying at The University of Strathclyde. I'm looking for a babysitter/nanny job preferably in the City Centre area of Glasgow or nearby. My experience in taking care of a child started very early, because of the fact that I have a younger sister that I had to look after sometimes when my parents asked me. When I turned 15 I also started to babysit my aunt's newborn baby. I've always been very responsible and I have a good contact with children. I know how to approach them in a right way and at the same time I'm steady and friendly. After I realised that I'm good at babysitting I started to do it as a part time job. I was casually taking care of two children (4 years old boy and 2 years old girl) when the parents were on the night out. When I turned 18, I went to Belgium to take care of a 4-year-old boy during holiday period. I was a full time, living in nanny. Although it was meant to be only one season job, the family and a child got to like me so much that I came back the following year in June. I believe that I have a great experience in babysitting and I enjoyed this job more than any other. Therefore, I would be more than happy to continue it here in Glasgow.

| I have always been a caring individual. My love and care for children was amplified when I became a big sister to two sisters who are 8-10 years younger than me. From seeing how I stepped up to the plate of looking after my sisters, naturally, at the age of 16, I was appointed by my pastor as a young leader in my church Sunday school class where I helped the teacher with planning the classes and making sure the kids were well looked after. I would help several mothers from my neighbourhood during the week and weekends with their children varying from ages 0-10. My duties included; light house cleaning, keeping toddlers entertained, making meals, morning and night time routines and helping mum with new born when needed for example nappy change or baths. Children and Babies tend to get along with me very easily.

| My name is Tess. I am currently studying for a master's degree in Archaeology at the University of Glasgow. I worked as a babysitter during my final two years of my undergraduate degree. During this time, I worked for 3 different families, and each required me to bring different skills to my role. I picked the children up from school, prepared evening meals and snacks, assisted them with homework and engaged them in creative tasks. Additionally, I assisted with bath and bedtime if their primary care givers were out during the evening. In 2019 I worked as a guest experience creator and performer at an immersive children's theatre in London. This role taught me how to be an efficient communicator and how to facilitate creative play.
