| I'm Tere, I just moved to Edinburgh, I'm originally from Chile but have an italian citizenship. I have been working as a babysitter and nanny for six years. I started doing part time it as a way to earn money while I was studying to be a speech and language therapy. I have also worked with children providing language therapy when needed, at schools and in private sessions. In the last years, I lived as an Au Pair for two months, taking care of a one year old girl in USA and doing some housework. In Manchester I worked for 1 year with two families, each one with 2 kids between the ages of 6 months and 6 years. I can provide references if needed. As a babysitter I am very kind and I like to give the children freedom to be themselves, but also complying to their parents' rules. I love to play with them, I sing, play ukulele and also can create entertaining games that help stimulate their development. I do mindfulness meditation and compassion practices. I am very responsible and serious about my job, and very proactive.

| Hi My name is Amanda (aged 47) and I have been involved in working with children for over twenty years. I am a Primary school teacher who specialises in Early Years and this is where my true passion lies. I have worked in primary schools and private nurseries and been a full time mum to my own children. They are currently 17, 16 and 13. My husband and I recently considered fostering but unfortunately he has had a promotion at work and so decided the timing was not right. This is what has led me to wanting to become a nanny. I have a strong knowledge of the early years foundation stage (EYFS) and have had regular training in significant training courses which are vital to know when caring for children. My daily tasks at work include planning specific activities for children aged between 0-5 years old that will greatly improve their physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs and well being.

I’m happy and a bundle of energy (I also Love crafts and activities just as much as the children !) I am available Monday-Friday 7:30am-6pm. | As a fully qualified primary school teacher I have a full DBS and more than 10 years experience of working with children aged 3-11. I specialised in early years and spent many years working with 3-5 year olds. I have worked in a range of schools and developed amazing relationships with both children and their families. I have taken a step away from main stream education in the last year and have been working as a supply teacher and I am ready for a new challenge as I look for work outside of education. I am passionate about working with children and families and feel that childcare or nannying would be a great fit. I own a car and have a full clean driving licence. I am able to take children to and from activities or out on day trips. I am also able to keep children busy in the home while supporting with any homework they may have. I set clear boundaries but love to have fun. I have experience of working with children with SEND including autism and down syndrome. I am married but without children of my own so I can be flexible in the hours that I can work. Non-smoker. Outside of my career, family is really important to me, I also love travel, read and look after my houseplants!
