I have been here for 1 year here in London as aurpair, first I started taking care of two children, of 1 year and 5 years, for 6 months, and then two other children of 2 years and 6 years. In Spain I have worked for a long time as a nanny and I have been able to work with children of all ages. I love children, I always look for fun and entertaining games and activities so they can have fun and not get bored. I am an Ofsted-approved agency childminder in Barnet, Totteridge & Whetstone.
| I care for a maximum of 3 under 5s at any one time, and use my local green spaces as a learning environment every day. I’m Forest Education trained so I help children to learn and develop (no matter how little!) using the great outdoors. The outdoors spaces I use that are walking distance are Friary park, Swan Lane and Bethune park. As all the children are preschool age, they can form strong friendships and support one another to reach their next milestone. I’ve also undertaken training in safe sleep and the EYFS curriculum. I make home-cooked meals everyday, and provide a caring, home-from-home environment for little ones. I finished 3 years of university and completed my BA (hons) Early Childhood Studies course which really threw me into the wonders of early years as I worked part time in a nursery while studying. I worked through all ages from babies to toddlers and ended up becoming head of pre-school. During all this time, I was able to gain a solid understanding of the EYFS and developmental milestones, as well as the best effective practice. By being a key worker for many children, I was able to meet individual needs and work alongside parents.
