Recently graduated from Durham University with a 2:1 in Psychology. Looking to earn extra money for my masters degree next year. Would be ideal to work a couple of evenings a week. I was a Youth Club Leader for 3 years, I organised and oversaw the activities and games for children aged 6-11, every Friday evening. At university I was a volunteer for a project called Children Achieving Through Student Support for my first two years and its project leader in my final year. The project takes children referred through social services on daytrips and a residential week away, organising fun games, activities and excursions for the kids to give them amazing new experiences and some well needed respite. As the activities project leader it was my role to devise, develop and oversee the activities for the kids. These ranged from small crafts such as making animal masks, to large games such as treasure hunts and excursions such as swimming. Furthermore I had to create thorough risk assessments for every activity, as the health and safety of the kids was my number one priority. I am fully trained in First Aid (FANE trained), child safeguarding and I have a qualification in Food Hygeine.
