After School Care Lanark

| I am very outgoing, a bubbly I have a lot of experience of working with kids.. I volunteered for 3 years at primary schools all over South Lanarkshire during holiday and after school with pupils p1-p7 we done arts and crafts sports and dance activities and often some baking.

| I have worked in the care sector for 8 years and have accumulated a vast knowledge in many areas. I began working in a kids club in Virgin Active and once I gained my qualifications I began working in nurseries and after school clubs. I enjoyed my role within the nurseries and have gained experience in all age groups. I have also worked as a support worker within the community, assisting people with their own individual needs such as autism and Down syndrome. Through doing this role I have worked in many different home environments and I have become comfortable with a fast paced work routine.

| I've been involved in scouting since I was 8years old and a leader since I was 18, working with all sections so children aged from 6-17. I am enthusiastic about the outdoors and love going to explore and teach those skills that not everybody knows. I am currently section leader for scouts so have to do a lot of the organising and planning of weekly meetings as well as paperwork and camps. I there do think I have good time keeping and I'm a well organised person. In 2019 I lived in san Francisco where I worked as an au pair and took care of two children (8 and 10). My main duties included getting the children up and ready in the am, taking them to school and after school activities, preparing meals, tidying their rooms and doing laundry, as well as walking the family dog. I had a really fun and engaging relationship with the children but when required could be strict and they'd listen. I had to drive the family car which I found no issue with. I currently work in a nursery where I am in the 2.5 and under room; we have children from as young as 4 months right through to 2.5years. For this role I care for the children and plan age appropriate activities as well as assisting with feeding, sleep and changing.

| ##.## name is Kimi and I live in Newmains with my husband and two children who are 10 and 15. I have over 18 years of childcare experience. Firstly in private Nurseries,then as an After School Care worker,a self employed Childminder and then with the Council in a local establishment.

| I’ve been studying Childhood Practice at various levels for 5+ years, currently at City of Glasgow College. I have done placement in three nurseries with children aged 3-5, and am a Girl guiding leader for girls aged 7-10 and 14+. I am able to cook and clean, and have a car so can take children to after school clubs, activities, etc. I’m knowledgeable in play and development so I can introduce new, fun activities to children, while also finding effective ways to complete homework and projects.
