After School Care Dorchester

| I have an NVQ Level 2 Children and Young People’s Services which I completed at Sunny Days Nursery on a full-time basis. I have also volunteered at after-school clubs which includes both Dorchester Middle School and Westfield Arts College when I was attending Thomas Hardye School as a pupil. As a recognition, I was awarded a community tie award for all the volunteering work but it didn’t make a difference to me because it was my passion to help others. I have a part-time job at a school in Weymouth which I am due to start in September but unfortunately due to lack of funding my hours have been reduced which is why I’m looking for some extra work to do alongside it as well as get back to doing what I love.

| I have been doing babysitting since I was 16, I used to look after a family with 6 children from the age of 6months to 12 years. I would do this most weekends. I have worked with many toddlers and babies also so any age I am comfortable with babysitting. Monday - Thursday I have a job when I don’t get back until half five and Fridays I work till 1pm so I can work evenings and Friday afternoon/evening and also weekends - I’m pretty flexible. I worked in Theatres as a HCA so I also have a basic level of medical training.

| I have plenty of experience repeatedly babysitting for a number of families within my area. I also have 3 years experience as a volunteer at my local after-school activity centre, Bouncing Beanz. In this role I was in charge of occuping up to 20 children at a time, organising games and activities. I also helped in homework corner and gave emotional support when needed. I am a recently graduated professional singer and music teacher and I put my creative nature into entertaining children. I am patient and kind but also very determined and organised. When babysitting children I am good at getting what needs to be done, done, but I also like to ensure they are having fun in a safe and nuturing environment. My most recent review, from a 6 year old, was given mid-way through a game of Hungry Hippos when she suddenly announced, "I like you because you're fun!"
