Looking for an attentive and efficient person to help me at home. Some food preparation, cooking mostly vegetable based meals, washing up, some household tasks (though I have a regular cleaner and housekeeper). No personal care but reminders to change or wash. Occasional help with phone calls and admin. Sometimes driving me to appointments and my allotment. Also helping me on my small allotment bed which is a tranquil place, so very enjoyable. Reliability, self management and using initiative are important for the role. I can have difficulties communicating so not being reliant on verbal instruction is needed. I have chronic conditions which cause me pain and fatigue and affect me cognitively. I am autistic, with a female presentation which is not usually obvious to others, though through spending time with me my difficulties become apparent. If I am well supported I do not struggle, I can lead a full and happy life, if unsupported I can’t cope quite quickly. I work occasionally and require support to allow me to enjoy life rather than just survive. Roles can be split so if you could be helpful for one area but not so much another please still consider discussing it with me. I am looking for a carer/special needs nanny to support my disabled son at home and in the wider community. He has a Syndrome which has led to intellectual impairment and being non verbal. He is a happy and loving child whom understands a lot of the world around him but needs help to access his world and family in a safe and calm manner. This role would suit someone trained in childcare with an interest or experience in special needs children, an ex school TA, Special needs nanny, carer of disabled children, etc Duties include: • Supporting Rhys to access the outside world safely, such as parks, libraries, walks, activity centres etc • Providing daily integration therapy • Aiding communication with Makaton / electronic communication device • Helping to regulate his behaviour (He can become overstimulated easily and needs help to regulate) • Support with feeding, dressing and toileting • Supporting Rhys in his home and help to interact with his family safely • Driving Rhys to school and picking up To add a little background, I am a single mother with 3 children ages 9, 7 and 4. My middle child is disabled and attends a special needs school, as mentioned above he is a really loving and affectionate child whom is curious to play and interact with those around him. I work full time, 3 days at home and 2 in the office. The children spend 2/3rds of their time with me and the rest with their father. My son has high needs so when Rhys’s siblings are around it requires 2 adults on hand, thus this role will require someone being happy to work alongside me too. Start date: immediate Salary: £10.50 per hour part paid by the local authority and myself, that said I do appreciate it can be a challenge to find a mutual fit so I am open to candidates whom are currently on a higher hourly rate than indicated above. Hours: Ideal hours are below, but open to suggestions as I appreciate these hours may not suit all. Our son has autism however looking after him is not such a hard task. We need a nanny who can keep an eye on him and make sure he is not into any mischief. We will also need a nanny who can play full day and keep him entertained. The nanny will have to feed our son [ we will prepare the food] . In certain times we may ask you to do some cleaning or folding or other needs. Some days his ABA tutor will have a session with him [ in the spare times we may need you to do some house needs. This 4-year-old boy needs support with all aspects of his care. He is learning to communicate and has specialist support from SLT, OT, and PT. He enjoys being with other children and his family. he likes to swim and go to the park.

I need someone to care for my son on a Saturday/ Sunday morning. Four hours a week. He is a lovely boy who is energetic and curious. He loves being outside so a garden would be great. I'd like someone as local to Rusthall as possible. He is a happy boy but can be single minded, so you will need good distraction techniques rather than heavy discipline. He is happy playing alongside other kids or one to one with an adult. His care is funded so a receipt for payment is required.
