Special Needs Care Jobs in Breadsall

We are looking for a caring lady who could support us 1-2 nights a week, to keep our 11 year old daughter safe through the night. She has complex health needs, including night time seizures caused by epilepsy and requires breathing support due to sleep apnoea. Experience in night time care is required. We will provide training in epilepsy, respiratory support, paediatric first aid, and other relevant training to support our daughter. We have 1-2 (10 hours) overnight shift available per week, at £15-hr. There will be opportunities for additional shifts to cover for illness and holiday, as well as some flexibility in the nights of the week. Start date will be discussed during the interview. DBS checks will be required and can be arranged at our end.

Our little girl S is 12 years old and has complex health needs as well as special educational needs S makes sense of the world in a very sensory fashion. She loves music and water, and really enjoys interaction on a one to one basis through sensory play. As Sophie is home schooled full time, we are looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven personal assistant for Sophie, to join her little team of tutor, physiotherapist and personal assistants. The ideal candidate would need to have a keen interest in getting to know S, interacting with her as part of her educational programme (which involves a lot of fun sensory play!) as well as supporting her personal/medical needs. Some experience and/or qualifications in education would be advantageous, but not an absolute must. We are a very supportive family and will provide as much training as required, both from a health and educational perspective. The hours are flexible and would range from 4 - 20 hours, so there is plenty of scope for finding the right balance for both parties. Hourly rate, working days, exact start date, DBS checks and training requirements will be discussed at the first meeting.
