Hi, my name is Naomi and I am looking for a dog sitter in London N10. I would like someone who is experienced, reliable and trustworthy, preferably with experience with special needs dogs. My sweet, loving Pekingese mix has recently gone blind and I need someone to spend some time with her while I’m at work, preferably for about 4 hours on a Tuesday and Thursday in the day (11-3ish). She ideally needs a good walk but she is quite slow due to her age and being blind, so would need someone who will be patient and careful with her. Despite losing her sight, Betty’s lovely character still shines through - she’s very affectionate and loves cuddles, nuzzling into anyone who shows her love, giving paw for treats and just generally making people smile. Am flexible with the arrangements whether it’s hanging out with Betty at my flat or taking her to you, as long as she’s in a safe environment we’ve agreed on. We also have a carrier/bag for her, so especially in spring/summer I usually carry her in that and then let her roam about in the park on the grass where she’s less likely to be startled by cars or busy streets etc. I appreciate that Betty’s care is a somewhat unique one, and will require a certain level of care and attention, patience and compassion, beyond average to accommodate for Betty’s special needs, as reflected in the higher rate. I really hope to find the right match, and a new friend to keep Betty company so I can go to work confident that she’s in good hands.

Our Senegal parrot Leo is 18 years old. He is teeny, green and has a huge personality. He loves sitting on your shoulder and playing on his perch. He needs someone to look after him if we go away for a long weekend or on holidays for a week. You can either take Leo into your home or sit him at our home. We are very flexible. He would need to go into a pet free home or be separate from other pets completely. If you were to sit him at our home, you could spend time with him, go in and out as you please and put him to sleep, then come back the next morning to wake him up! He needs about 5-6 hours out of his cage a day and goes to sleep at 6:30-7pm and needs 12-14 hours sleep. So it is fairly flexible. You can leave him on his perch or sit with him on your knee or shoulder as your work, read or play with him which he loves.
