I need to be away from home overnight about once a week - it's reasonably regular, but not rigid, so flexibility is important. Occasionally, it can be more than one night. We are looking for a nurturing and responsible dog lover near Reading. We would like someone kind, compassionate and adaptable. You will be working with a wheelchair user who you will need to help out a little bit and who may join you on the walk. It will be two short walks early morning (first wee / poo of the day) & then last walk of the day. Once the dog has toileted then treat given and back inside the flat. If it’s working well and you’re available (if you can drive even better but not a necessity) then maybe a 90min walk at around 1pm can be added in a few times per week. The job begins on Sunday late morning and ends on Wednesday evening at 6 pm. We will pay a total of 135 pounds. Hello, We would like to ask if you could watch our dog, Amy, at our home next weekend from 11am to 8pm. We are a young couple from the Czech Republic, here in England for a few months on a work placement. Everything is new for Amy here, and she still isn’t comfortable being left alone at home, so we need someone to stay with her. We’ll be going to a football match in London next weekend. We’re looking for someone who can stay with Amy at our home in Frimley, as this is where she feels safe and would be too unsettled in a new place. Amy is a dog who needs a very slow, gradual approach. She’s nervous around strangers and other dogs and might react aggressively at first. Ideally, as a dog sitter, you could come over an hour early so we can be there to help Amy feel more comfortable. We recommend not trying to pet or interact with her at the beginning, as she’s very cautious. After a while, you can try offering her a treat or simply let her get used to you on her own terms without too much attention. If she were left alone, she would bark continuously, which would disturb the neighbors, but if someone is in the house with her, she’ll stay calm.
