Looking for a reliable friendly general cleaner for my mother, who is needing a bit of help now with tasks in the home (a ground floor 1 bed flat). She is finding things more difficult as she gets older, these are mainly bathroom cleaning, floor cleaning and vaccuming. She is looking for a kind friendly person who she can rely on. Deep cleaning of communal areas periodically, including carpets and upholstery. Clean external areas such as windows, patios, and driveways. 2. General Maintenance Perform minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing door handles, or touching up paintwork. Report major repair issues to Goodwin Property Ltd and assist in arranging tradespeople. Monitor the condition of furnishings and appliances, repairing or reporting as necessary. 3. Health & Safety Compliance Conduct and document monthly fire alarm tests. Reset fire alarms and ensure they are functioning correctly. Check emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, and carbon monoxide detectors. Ensure communal areas are free from hazards and comply with health and safety standards. Monitor gas, electricity, and water systems, reporting or addressing any issues. 4. Gardening and Landscaping Maintain outdoor spaces, weeding and clearing leaves. Ensure paths, patios, and driveways are clean and tidy. Remove rubbish or clutter from outdoor spaces. 5. Tenant Support and Management Conduct viewings for prospective tenants, providing property information. Assist with tenant check-ins, ensuring they are comfortable and informed. Act as the first point of contact for tenants, addressing minor issues or complaints. Mediate minor disputes between tenants to maintain harmony. Collect feedback from tenants on communal improvements or services. 6. Inventory and Supplies Monitor and restock communal supplies such as cleaning products, light bulbs, and toilet paper. Perform regular inventory checks of furnishings and appliances. 7. Administrative and Compliance Support Maintain a logbook of maintenance tasks, inspections, and fire alarm checks for landlord records (Training given) Notify Goodwin Property Ltd of overdue rent payments. Assist with lease renewals, ensuring tenants sign relevant documents. 8. Marketing Assistance Take photographs of rooms and communal spaces for marketing purposes. Ensure rooms are clean and presentable for viewings and advertising.
