We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and organised home environment while providing light childcare support. While fluency in Spanish is not essential, it would be a valuable asset for engaging with children in a bilingual environment. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, a warm and caring personality, and the flexibility to assist with occasional school pick-ups or drop-offs. Key Responsibilities: 1. Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces. Clean and maintain rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and communal areas. Empty trash and recycling bins. Fill and empty dishwasher. 2. Linen & Laundry: Change bed linens and towels as required. Wash, fold, and store laundry properly. 3. Organisation: Ensure household items are stored in their designated places. Replenish supplies such as toiletries and cleaning materials. 4. Childcare Support: Assist with school drop-off or pick-up once a week, ensuring timely and safe transport. Provide light supervision and care for the child as needed. Prepare snacks or meals for the child if required. (Optional) Engage with children in Spanish to support bilingual development if fluent. 5. Communication & Reporting: Communicate effectively with the family in English, and Spanish if applicable. Regularly inspect areas to identify any maintenance or repair needs and report promptly. 6. Adherence to Standards: Follow health and safety guidelines for cleaning and childcare. Handle cleaning products safely and responsibly. Requirements: Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not essential. Experience with or a genuine interest in childcare. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Friendly, trustworthy, and professional attitude. Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks. Flexibility to adjust working hours to accommodate childcare needs. Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.

biweekly cleaning of the house to assist with regular messes that i struggle to get around to, primarily kitchen and bedroom, but also including the living room and bathroom, but those would be lighter. kitchen would probably include dishes and counters while the bedroom would most likely have a things lying around. and disorganised. laundry would be a great help too! i don't have a vacuum cleaner so bringing one along would be a great help for places the roomba can't do well!

Optiona but useful - cutting of lawn and sweeping up outside - about 30 mins a week, inside - bins - taking rubbish out, changing bed sheets, laundry - putting on, hanging up and drying, ironing, clean of bathrooms and house. There is a single elderly lady living in the house who is very independent and clean and our family is regularly there and we help with keeping the place clean but we are looking for somebody once or more a week to drop in for a couple of hours here and there to take care of the rubbish and to change the bed sheets and do the laundry and hoovering and cleaning which is probably about four hours a week and then a little bit of grass cutting and other work but it needs someone who will also make a cup of tea for our mother and sit with her and have a few minutes conversation and just we are looking for somebody who would check in with us. She does not need any personal care but has reached the age where it is becoming a little bit dangerous for her to do chores but she is very low maintenance and key qualities are very pleasant person who is careful and doesn't damage anything and does a good job of the cleaning and doesn't mind doing a few extra things like mowing the lawns and going and getting some groceries etc.
