Hello all, I'm looking for someone who can spend a few hours a week providing care for my 75 year old mother who was diagnosed last year with early stage Alzheimer's. She is also diabetic, with swollen legs, and consequently has some mobility issues. I moved from Romford to the United States several years ago, but now my mother's health is deteriorating. Family and friends are assisting but I would like to take some of the burden off. The role would include the following type of care: Wellness checks (swollen legs may flare up) Checking various medicines have been taken daily and medication is stocked Speaking with the doctor/pharmacy/clinics, being a contact. Transport, accompaniment and return from medical appointments (or if unavailable yourself, being able to schedule transport with another service) Food shopping (she loves to go to Costa located inside Tesco!) There's a cat who lives in the house so being okay with pets is a must. She's a wonderful woman with a great sense of humour. An ex-nurse that loves the Beatles. Hours are flexible.
