No personal hygiene care needed, this very with-it and capable elder lady that has mobility issues (only needs a walking stick to walk though) and needs to walk a little bit each day to keep mobile. As she cannot bend down so well so she needs help to keep small flat clean and tidy. (It's a very easy flat on that score.) She lives alone and is independent and in order to stay independent just needs a bit of help to get some appointments and sometimes either getting or taking to the shops, even though she has grocery deliveries. She hates the idea of care, and in the strictest terms does not need that yet. She is looking for a great housekeeper (the dish washer makes that a lot easier too), a small bit of ironing (as she has a laundry service) but she does use the washing machine for small items and assistant. And she does enjoy a chat and cup of tea when the tasks are done. The very odd time would need a small meal cooked (often a ready meal) as she still cooks but if tired needs a little help there too. Reliable carer required to cover for breaks for live in carer. Must have experience of supporting clients with dementia. Initially 2 sessions of 3 hours per week but likely to increase to 4 sessions if this works well. Client is mobile and requires minimal physical support. Care duties for sessions would vary but are likely to include: preparation of light lunch, companionship (general conversation), support for activities such as colouring, walking around the garden.
