Live in carer required for elderly lady for 16 days starting 27th November. This is to cover break for regular carer who has to take leave at short notice. The lady is 91, is anxious and has early stage dementia. The lady can do her own personal care but needs help with medication, food preparation, trips to local social clubs and general help with daily activities. Carer requirements • Age ideally >35 years old, must be female • Excellent English language – ideally should be there primary language • Able to cook simple English food (porridge, scrambled eggs etc) • Kind, patient, empathic, good at listening, companionship • Some experience of dealing with mild dementia would be helpful • Ability to deal with a highly anxious/nervous person who worries a lot • An interest in gardens, countryside, antiques etc would be helpful. Duties • Occasional Help with personal care – eg assistance with showering • Preparation of simple meals • Giving oral medication from blister packs • Help with daily activities such as getting dressed, stairs, taking for a walk and to social activities etc, • Do some local shopping • Some Housework and laundry We Would like to see qualifications and checks (eg DBS). We Would like to see verified references and experience listing
