Required a special person to support my elderly parents, my mum has an early dementia diagnosis (short term memory loss) and has stopped cooking and ironing. So person would be required to undertake some house work and ironing and cooking at lunchtime for them, and some shopping if necessary. The hours at present will be 14 hours a week but as the dementia worsens then there will be further hours.

Hi! Mum has been diagnosed with dementia with delusions & hallucinations. Mum is mobile, gets up & goes to bed when she wants. On average she gets up at 8am & goes to bed 8.30pm although this changes. Goes to the toilet herself. Requires food preparation & sometimes encouragement to eat it. Regular cups of tea! Companionship & entertaining are your main role whilst keeping an eye on her so she does nothing silly! Mum does get angry & shouty sometimes out of confusion & frustration. Mum is not dangerous.
