Live in or live out carers needed to care for my 92 year old mum in Axbridge near Cheddar, Somerset. She has mild dementia and currently lives alone but has 4 visits per day including me as her main carer. She is very sweet , good company, easy going and reasonably mobile, just forgetful and has got to the stage where she needs to be with someone but doesn't want to move into a care home as she loves living in her beautiful 2 bed, 2 bathroom apartment. I would anticipate having carers coming in to cover most of the day (as she is OK at night) or live in carers and do roughly 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off but am flexible with this.I live up the road so can offer ongoing support.

Kind lady needed to Live in, to provide care and companionship for very sweet elderly lady currently living alone. Responsibilities would include preparing meals, housekeeping, help with getting up in the morning about 8am and to bed in the evening about 7pm. Prompting of medicines, providing companionship by, if car owner, taking out on short visits and to local activities and clubs,watching TV together, listening to classical music, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, colouring and knitting. Live in accommodation for the right person would include own bedroom and bathroom and shared use of sitting and dining room and kitchen. Must have good references and experience, be a good driver and DBS checked. First aid and some relevant qualifications preferable.Being easily understood (with her dementia and being slightly deaf) is essential so English speaking without a strong accent is preferable. The right person would be able to liase with daughter who lives nearby.
