I have currently just started a degree at Exeter University, but the course does not finish until 5.30pm. My partner was looking after my children, but he is unable to do so any more, and my local childcare providers can only provide care until 5.30pm. I am therefore short of childcare between 5.00 pm and about 7.30pm when I get home. My children will need to be collected from i nursery, and under fives, and then fed and put to bed if working in my home, or I am happy to collect them from another location. Ofsted registered would be easier, as I can then claim this back, but I certainly won't rule out anyone that isn't. I'm in a real pickle, this degree means a lot to me and I will have to give it up if I can't find anyone to help me with childcare, so if anyone can help me it would be most appreciated. I am looking for a very reliable person to collect my children from nursery and school and take care of them until I am home from uni. This is for one day a week on a WEDNESDAY from 3pm until approx 7 - 7.30. I am unfortunately splitting from my partner, who covered this childcare for me, and I am in year two of my degree so really reluctant to pull out. But I would not feel comfortable returning to my course without very reliable childcare as I have no family or friends in area to rely on and this would just be too stressful for me because despite what I want my children will always come first and the breakup will be hard enough for them. I appreciate it is only for one evening a week, but hopefully it might fit around someone`s schedule as a bonus income. My children`s schools and nursery are quite rural so access to a car would be essential. I need mine for uni, so can not spare it. Registration would be a bonus for me, as I could then claim this childcare back via student finance which would mean I could afford a bit more, but I appreciate it could also be good for a student to gain experience or to earn extra income so don't let not being registered put you off. I have two beautiful girls, ages 5 and 3. Each week would involve collection from school/nursery, playing for a bit (or they usually like to watch TV, colour etc.) preparing them dinner, reading stories, putting them to bed and then waiting for me to come home. We have a lovely house and back garden to play in with wonderful views.
