This role involves educational games, supervision and assistance with daily activities, ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks: • Monitor the child’s safety at all times. • Follow established routines and structures for daily activities. • Engage the child in educational games and activities to aid learning. • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring proper nutrition. • Help with personal care as and when required. • Assist with transportation from the school, when it’s required and after school activities. • Maintain clear and open communication with the child to understand her needs and feelings. • Communicate regularly with parents. • Implement positive reinforcement strategies to encourage good behaviour. • Provide emotional support and understanding, creating a trusting relationship. • Encourage playdates or social activities with peers to promote social skills. • Facilitate home activities, such arts and crafts. • Daily housekeeping for the home. • Family laundry and ironing. Qualifications: • Must be fluent in English. • Experience working with children, particularly those with learning difficulties. • Patience, empathy and understanding. • First aid and CPR certification preferred. • Background check clearance. Work schedule: • Monday to Friday from 15:00 – 19:00hrs with occasional evenings as needed. • Flexibility is required.

I work in the ambulance service and my husband works as a head chef so our schedules are very staggered. We are looking for a childminder to assist with his care regularly but not the same days a week. We will let you know 2 weeks in advance to ensure availability is possible. We have a little dog called Hallie, she is full of excitement but a very good dog so ideally we are looking for someone who likes pets. We also have Oreo the cat who pretty much does what he likes and you wouldn’t know he is there.
