PLEASE NO TIME WASTERS
Hello, I'm Emilia, I have 2 children aged 5 and 10. I have a new job working from home. My hours are flexible but I require after school help and holiday help from the week beginning 5th November. However, it would be useful to have a graduated start and would hope to start that during the October half-term (week beginning 29th). The person applying must be Ofsted registered so I can claim help.
My daughter is a very creative, intelligent and funny young lady who is a deep thinker. She attends Primary School where she is in Year 5. Her favourite activities are drawing, crafting, writing stories and poems, reading and Pokemon.
My son is a funny, clever little boy who has a diagnosis of mild Autism. He attends a different School and is transported to and from school. He loves Thomas trains and building lots of different tracks. He also loves cars, his garage and his hot wheels sets. He can be quite repetitive in his play but is now showing more and more creativity. His diagnosis isn't an "obvious" one, but it would be helpful if the person who is applying had some knowledge of ASD, particularly around sensory issues.
Both children love playing outdoors and going to parks and the seaside.
TERM TIME: Looking for after school provision for both children, from 3.30pm until 5.30pm five evenings a week
Daughter has various after-school clubs she attends at her school and at least a few evenings a week will not be returning home until around 4.30pm. Son is dropped off at 3.30pm. The provision needs to take place within my own home - I will be in but upstairs working. I am looking for someone to mainly play with him and be attentive to his needs, engaging her in activities where appropriate. It would be useful if they could encourage the children to eat some (healthy?) snacks after school.
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS: Looking for provision 3 days per week, from 10am - 5pm or 4 days at 10.30am - 4pm or 5 days at 11am - 3.30pm or a combination, or whatever hours are best (as long as I do at least 21 per week) if this suits better.
The provider can either use my home as a base and take children out or be able to pick my children up from home and take them to their own as I do not drive. However, I can of course drop off as long as you’re on a bus route.
I would expect to provide them with a packed lunch, but would ask they are given snacks and juice as appropriate. I would also expect to pay extra for any activities.
