Hello! I am desperately looking for a babysitter tomorrow evening who could help me with my son Albie. He is 2 years old and a little legend :) We are based in Newquay. We are a neurodiverse family and live right in the town centre on Newquay. We need someone long term, regularly who would also be up for occasional babysitting. It is me, my husband, our nine year old daughter who is into all things pastel and kawaii and our six year old son who is into space and numbers. We need an extra pair of hands for 3/4 hours a week. Probably on a Friday afternoon. We need someone who likes to play with children not just watch them if that makes sense so that they can build a relationship strong enough to feel safe being babysat. In terms of cleaning I need someone who can just crack on with stuff depending on what’s needed on the day. So it might be things like, clean the shower curtain, put laundry away, clean the fridge or play with the kids for an hour while I do some work (I’m a tarot reader). So someone who can work unsupervised but doesn’t mind me giving them requests for various different jobs. We are quite messy and creative by nature so we need someone who can tolerate our crazy and work around our projects. I like to think we are friendly and warm and easy to get along with. Our last lady worked at a local preschool and my kids adored her but she moved up country. She understood that autistic kids can be particular about how they like their sandwiches cut up or not moving their teddies about without checking first. I’m sure she’d be happy to reference us.
