Special Needs Care in Cornwall

| Hello my name is Brittany, I am currently 27 years old, I am a mother to a beautiful 2 year old daughter and expecting my son come this October. I graduated from Carleton University with an Honours Degree in Linguistics (this is the study of speech), I then proceeded to take the Autism and Behavioural Science program at Algonquin College. I have worked a variety of positions both with children with and without disabilities. I would be more then happy to share my experiences of jobs in this field.

| I’ve been in healthcare for over 17 years as a personal support worker and graduated as social service worker I year 2011 i’ve worked with many different disabilities and different clients of many different ages in and out of group homes and facilities.

| I have worked for 2 years as a camp counselor for children, teens, and young adults with varying special needs (although more specifically with ASD, Autism, and ADHD) in which time I was responsible for daily care and general entertainment of the campers in my cabin. For the past 3 years I have worked as a program director at this same camp, which has allowed me to become proficient in the organization and exacting of fun, explorative, and educational activities catered to children, teens, and young adults with special needs. I have experience with basic non-violent crisis intervention and I am certified in First Aid and CPR
