| My name is Rita. I am a compassionate curious person who is interested in making a positive impact I the lives of seniors. Me in a nut shell: I'm all I am 32, I've lived and traveled across the world and returned to the Nelson area 3 years ago. I have volunteered as an activity aid for with adults with brain trauma, have volunteered for companionship visits with seniors at the Trail Hospital. I have 15+ years experience working with children in child care. I have my level 3 first aid and have worked as the onsite medic at several jobs. I have a small private catering business as work as a back country cook. I am a herbalist and also sell my wild foraged herbal tea blends and skin care products. Many elders have made a positive impact on my life and I feel that returning the favor, so to speak, would be a very fulfilling role for me. My experience working in housekeeping, as a chef, and in hospitality management roles gives me a well-rounded set of skills. My love of human connection and interest in the lives of seniors and the stories and knowledge they have to share. This, along with my desire to create a positive impact are what inspire me to work in senior care.

I also work at the Best Western Hotel as a Front Desk/Guest Service Agent since December 2023. I also hold another Job position as a Teacher Assistant at the Nelson Waldorf School where I started working In February 2024. In my pursuit of new job opportunities, I am excited to find new Job opportunities as a Caregiver. I am Australian, and have lived in Nelson for close to four years. I am an experienced Registered Nurse who understands the importance of supporting elders to maintain their independence, for as long as possible, and I love what I do.

| I am a registered bc care assistant and worked as a community health worker and as a care assistant in multiple facilities ! I am also a cook and I also have all the required training and experience and a valid license to drive !

| I am a New Zealand registered physiotherapist living and working in Canada. I have chosen not to register here in Canada as I am here only until August, 2020. I have extensive experience working with the senior population, primarily is safe moving and handling, transfers and mobility, exercise and rehabilitation, and further experience with personal cares and food preparation. I have taught and developed community initiatives to deliver better breathing classes to those with pulmonary/ respiratory difficulties. I am further qualified with falls prevention training. I am a caring, punctual, respectful, strong young man and I always respect those with whom I work.

| I have been a Registered Nurse for 11 years. I have worked in many different areas of nursing, including palliative care, hospice, medical, ICU, Emerg, Community and surgical nursing. I have also been a home support worker prior to completing my nursing degree in 2008. My favorite part of nursing was supporting my patients mentally and emotionally through whatever challenges they were facing at the time.

| Many years of community volunteer work, especially with seniors and those with disabilities. Currently providing care 4 days a week for a paraplegic woman with MS. Previously cared for an elderly man with many health issues.

| I've worked with students with developmental disability in the past ten years. I was my husband's personal carer when got cancer, my dad when he had COPD and my Uncle who has dementia. I'm used to planning and preparing healthy meals, organize giving of medicine and recording observation. I help people with the passion.
