Senior Care in Lacombe

| My name is Shelby. I am a 23 year old female who is looking for a part-time position assisting a male or female client within the Lacombe/Blackfalds community. I work full-time with the Lacombe Action Group, and have been in this line of work for the last five years (working with the developmentally disabled as well as seniors). I am extremely compassionate and empathetic person, and while doing this work I quickly realized how many people out there desperately want to stay living in their home - but also need a little bit of help. I have a certificate from Nova Scotia Community College for the Continuing Care Assistant course, a valid First Aide/CPR course, up to date Medication Administration course, a clean Criminal Record Check (Including vulnerable sector check), and much, much more. I have availability from 8am - lunchtime during the weekdays, and I am available on some weekends. I would absolutely love to use this time to help out one of your family members where it's needed. I am trustworthy, and I have great references upon request.

| I’ve worked with seniors in various aspects over many years. I’ve done hair in a seniors home and I’ve also cared for people with disabilities. I currently care for a senior lady who is paralyzed and requires a lift and 24 hour care. I’m a compassionate person who is dependable and caring.

| I have spent the last 2 years caring for my mother who is immobile and relies heavily on the assistance of a helper to manage day to day activities. I believe in extending dignity to our elders and assisting in providing the best possible quality of life. I am familiar with OT & PT concerns like specialized diet, seating, and staying active through (seated) exercise. I would like to offer companionship and respite for those caregivers that desperately need a break.

| Hi my name is Alice. I am a 63 year old who recently moved to Lacombe. I worked for a home care agency for 18 years. I have also worked privately for many years with wonderful clients. I have worked with blind clients and Alzheimer clients. I promote independence in my clients with safety being first and foremost. I love what I do and shows in my daily work.

| Hi there! My name is Emily :) I am looking for part-time/casual work while I am studying full-time. I currently have availability some afternoons during the week, and anytime of day Thursday, Friday, and Weekends. Come Summer I will be searching for full-time employment. My passion for working with vulnerable persons has lead me to study Social Work at Red Deer Polytechnic. I have 3 years experience with the in-home care of an 85yr old lady, and 4 years experience with seniors in various setting including independent, long-term (memory-care), brain injury, and palliative care. Duties including housekeeping/laundry, dietary, and most importantly socializing & companionship. I also have some on and off experience with infants/children in various babysitting jobs. (Ages 2-14) I am certified in First Aid and Food Safe, and have a driver's license and reliable vehicle (willing to commute). I look forward to hearing from you!
