Child Care in Trenton

| Hello, I am a fourth year Brock university student in the child and youth teacher education program. Working with children is my passion and I'm looking to do so for the summer. I have worked as a child care provider in the past for a family for 4 years. I've learned having planned activities and crafts keep the children busy and having fun. So, I try and have new fun activities or crafts for the children to do everyday.

I'm a 22 year old female who lives on my own I have a small cat and small dog very friendly and clean. I love being outdoors and staying active playing games with children going to park's swimming etc.

| My name is Taylor and I am an enthusiastic and friendly person who loves working with children and making a difference in their lives. Growing up, my mom owned and ran a home daycare. From the time I was 12 to 18, I was responsible for helping my mom. We looked after children as young as 8 weeks old all the way up to middle-school age. I have experience with supervising play, meal preparation, feeding, putting children down for naps, entertainment, diaper changes, potty training, looking over and helping school-aged students with homework, and more. We had a pool and so over the years, I also taught dozens of children how to swim. In our home, any child in our care were seen as family and were treated as such. The many years of assisting my mom with her home daycare taught me never-ending patience. From 2017 to 2019, I volunteered on a weekly basis at the Goodlife daycare in Belleville. I have my full driver's license, a good driving record and my own reliable vehicle. I am also trained in Basic First Aid and CPR.

| As the oldest in my family, I've grown up babysitting. My work experience includes after school care for 1 child aged 11, being a live in Nanny for a family with three children aged 4-11, and volunteering with the children's Can-skate Program in Trenton, helping teach children ages 3-14 how to skate. I was also the summer program coordinator at The Quinte West Public Library, which means I was in charge of planning and executing fun summer programs for children ages 5-12. Currently I am a student at Trent University, enrolled in Child and Youth studies, looking to become a Teacher.
