Strong background in Childcare and Emergency Services
|
My first paid job was babysitting 4 children aged newborn to 6, and continued to babysit them for years until they were no longer in need of one. In high school, I began working as a summer camp leader and after school child-care provider with the Boys and Girls Club of Kawartha Lakes. After approximately 2 years, I left this job for post-secondary school. While in college, I worked as a First Responder for Durham College and Ontario Tech University, providing emergency and mental health first aid to anyone on campus who needed it. After graduating from the 9-1-1 Emergency Communications course, I began working as an Ambulance Communications Officer for the Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton, Peterborough and Northumberland counties. After some time in this field, I decided to step away and return to school. I am now enrolled at York University and pursuing my honours bachelor of arts in Anthropology, and am looking for part time work while in school. I live in Oshawa and I am available most hours of the day, as my schooling is currently online, and I am very flexible with my scheduling.
