I am looking for someone available Mon-Fri noon to 9 PM. They must speak Spanish to connect with my mom, who has advanced dementia. My mother lives in a retirement community and is mobile and fit. She needs companionship and help with the TV at night, choosing and making visible a change of clean clothes for the following day, ensuring cleanly toileting, reassurances during sun-downing. You can listen to music together, go for walks in nice weather, read to her, give her hand or foot lotion, etc. Her needs are likely to develop to require increased assistance with toileting, mobility, and nursing tasks. She is an amazing lady with a loving family who is stretched a bit too thin, and needs help for her increasing needs. Ideally, you would be able to stay on at least 6 months. All the best,

Looking for a female personal care giver in Toronto (M5V area) to work three hours on weekday evenings from 5 or 6PM until 8 or 9 PM, plus 8 to 10 hrs on some but not all Saturdays and Sundays, providing care for a 78-year-old very gentle lady suffering from Dementia. Ideally Spanish and English speaking would be helpfully as she involuntarily switches between the two languages.
