I’ve had heaps of experience with non-verbal children as well as intellectual disabilities. I have also worked 1:1 with a number of adult participants.

I have a Certificate IV in Community Services, current police check and first aid certificates.

I see myself as an extension of the family, not only providing care to those with special needs, but also being that person who the family can rely on. I've worked with clients with a range of special needs from autism, to non verbal, to ABIs. I really enjoy this work as I feel like I am giving back and it gives my life meaning. I've worked with kids from age 5, up to 19 year old's. I have no favourite age as all ages have their special behaviours that I enjoy getting to know.

My passion is working with babies and young children but my last contract was working in child protection supporting an adolescent 24/7 with her day to day needs, very challenging but rewarding at the same time. I am an independent support worker and I am self employed with my own ABN, vehicle and insurances. I have a worked in diverse roles over my working life. | I have experience in running an Autism Spectrum Disorder class, where I communicated with all participants and assisted in their learning of new skills, social and physical. I have personal connections to autism, having family members with ASD.

| I worked at Bendigo Special Developmental School as an Education Support worker for several years supporting our Complex care needs students and students with Autism and Downs Syndrome and Non-Verbal. The supports I have experience in are Epilepsy Management, Diabetes Management, PEG and Nasogastric Feeding, Hoisting, hygiene and personal care needs, Behaviour Management, Key word signs, PECS and PODD books. I currently provide disability support in the home and within the community.
