| In 2015 I began volunteering in my local childcare centre, over the span of the 2 years while I continued schooling I used my holidays and work experience hours to build up knowledge in childcare so I could get a job and manage to secure my dream career. In my final year of schooling I left to begin my first full time job in childcare where I was taught how to handle children of all ages, behavioral abilities and how to handle children from all walks of life. Over the course of my childcare journey, I have secured all my first and and anaphylaxis training as well as my full, paid blue card. At this point I am studying my Diploma in Child Studies to further my knowledge and understanding of children's minds. (I am also a mother to 3 kids!)

| Hi there! I am a Canadian student currently completing my masters degree at James Cook University! I worked as a nanny in Canada for over a year for children ages 1,3, and 5! My responsibilities for this family included school drop off and pickup for the oldest, light-housekeeping duties, as well as entertaining the children with age-appropriate activities. Further, I worked as a tutor for children and teens ages 7-15, primarily focussing on literature, science and math work. Recently I volunteered as a camp councillor for teens (12-16) with learning disabilities and worked to develop activities that encouraged both academic and social skills. In each of these roles I ensured safety is the main priority and would give my full attention to each child/ group I was responsible for.
