I would like to introduce myself; my name is Natalie, I am a second-year student nurse and have successfully completed 160 hours (4 weeks) clinical placement experience within my studies at Charles Darwin University, with a passionate focus on patient care.
I have developed an array of skills and experience both theory and practice whilst undertaking my first clinical placement at Juninga Centre, Coconut Grove, and established multiple professional patient-nurse relationships during my time at Juninga. I have adhered to my scope of practice, the facilities policies and procedures and played a vital role in patient care, daily activities of living (ADL’s), attended handover, patient engagement, their mental well-being, and cultural awareness within the Darwin Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community. I also recognise the significance and value of promoting culturally safe and appropriate practices for both indigenous and non-indigenous employees and residents.
I am seeking a position, with the aim to further expand my experience and knowledge whilst providing your facility with the best patient care and enable me to utilise skills and implement a high standard of holistic and appropriate nursing care.
