We'd like someone who is reliable and lives near Brisbane Monday to Thursday from 2:45pm to 5:45pm (min 12 hours) to pick them up from school (walking distance from home) and take them to their after school activities, so you would need reliable transport for swimming, dancing and netball training all in close proximity to home. We have a dog named Molly (Kelpidore) who loves to be active at the park on the days the kids have nothing on or played with in our backyard! I’m a Business Owner/CEO who is a single mum to two delightful and happy children – a 9 year old girl, and a 6 year old boy – who live half the time at my house in a week on / week off arrangement. I have a dream that our children can have a mature maternal-like figure in their life who can support them during their critical schooling years, be an extended member of our family and be an all-round supporting pair of hands - our very own Mary Poppins! This is a live out position, and would suit a mature aged or semi-retired person, perhaps even an empty nester. The role involves after school pickups, transportation to extra-curricular activities, supporting with homework, preparation of dinners, helping the children get ready for bed, etc. I am seeking someone who is willing to stay until the children are both in high school, possibly beyond. I like to raise my children with good values, firm but gentle discipline, teach them how to be independent while also loving to others, and encourage them to grow and develop into their full potential. The initial routine can be negotiated between us but would likely include Monday to Thursday nights every second week from 2.45pm – 6.45pm. Our extended family live interstate – so the odd babysitting night or shifts outside of the normal schedule may pop up from time to time, but this would be arranged in advance with you. Although the children only live with me every second week, you have the opportunity to extend your hours with cleaning and housekeeping duties on the alternative week. The children attend school and most of their extra-curricular . I am offering a casual position with an attractive hourly rate, as well as superannuation, mileage and reimbursement for any other expenses. Prefer non-smoker and someone who can support a household with Christian values. The start date is flexible, but may be as early as the 24th June 2024.
