Hello, I'm Kayleigh! Please note, I am only available til mid September. I am flexible with days/hours. I'm experienced with newborns, infants, toddlers, and twins. I was a preschool/day care teacher prior to college, a private nanny for 6 families (children ages 1 day old-7yo), and have 20+ years of babysitting experience. I have child development and early education credits, BA in Psychology, and Master's Degree in Social Work. I moved to Pierce County with my partner and senior dog in 2022. I love working with children and would love to help your family and be a part of your child's/children's development. As mine are no longer living at home, I miss the laughter of the children. I have been working with children since 1983, I started as a teacher's assistant in a local preschool. Attended De Anza College taking Early childhood education classes. Became a preschool teacher and worked for about 3 years. After preschool teaching, I became a Nanny and worked from 1987 to 1999 for several different families. I worked with wonderful families and loved their children like they were my own. I had a wonderful working relationship with the parents and stayed on with my families for 3 to 5 years on each assignment. I am currently working full time. But am looking for weekends and evening occasional jobs. Will do weekends so you can get away or evenings for date nights.

I have been working and teaching children from infant - high school for the past 20 years. I have also raised two beautiful children of my own! Currently I work with families in unique situations such as needing part-time, temporary, seasonal, vacation or overnight care. My journey with children began in a preschool setting in my early 20's. From there I went on to become a nanny while attending De Anza College in CA where I received an Early Childhood Degree that has opened many doors throughout the years. I worked as a teachers assistant in a special needs classroom for approximately 2 years in Los Altos, CA . When I moved with my family to Washington State in 1993, I opened a daycare in my home so that I could be home with my son who was 1 year at that time. It has been 20 years ago since I closed the daycare and those children are amazing individuals who are still in touch with me today! I have worked on and off as a teacher and also attended to student testing in the home school partnership program, Family Learning Center for approximately 7 years. I am also an artist and a Certified Women's Life Coach. I feel I am able to utilize my teaching, art and communication skills with your child in a unique relationship. Art opens so many doors in a child's world when they are young and unsure of their "words" as well as an older child who is facing many different choices in the world today. I have seen this time and again with my own children growing up! I also have been teaching art to children in Primary School in a the town of Sayulita, Mexico over the past 5 years. Hello! I am a stay at home mom going back to school online. My daughter and I enjoy visiting the local parks, painting, drawing, building towers with blocks and reading books. I have extensive experience working with children of all ages with an emphasis in working with children who have special needs. I have worked in preschools, kindergarten classes as well as middle school environments. One of my most recent jobs was assisting a young woman with autism to attend college classes, but I have nannied for families with children as young as 3 months to as old as 16.
