Hello!
My name is Maya, and I am looking for a sitter who can come on a weekly/bi weekly basis on Thursday evenings to watch my son while I go play volleyball. Mason is 4 years old, and just the cutest stinkin kid. He's very well mannered, and is honestly quite the easy watch. He just wants to play haha. His bedtime is at 8 PM, and I would have arrival at 6 or 7 PM, and departing at 10 or 11 p.m.
Outside of a few restrictions like certain shows or movies he's unable to watch, he's really just a fun loving toddler who will probably just want to play until bedtime! At 8 o'clock, you'll need to read two books to him - and then it's lights out! If you could stay in the room with him until he falls asleep - that would likely bring him more comfort in the beginning until he gets used to you. Overtime - can leave the room 10 minutes after books lol. Mason is also fully potty trained, and can go to the restroom on his own.
Then that's it! From there, you're fully free to hang out on the couch, watch movies, hang out in the balcony, or play with my dog Cosmo! He'll be 7 this year, and he is just as playful as Mason lol. They're practically like brothers. There is no maintenance required with my dog, and I will take care of feeding/taking him outside. To make things simpler - I also give him anxiety medicine so he will be calm throughout your visit!
I am looking for a sitter who authentically has a nurturing, maternal nature. We do not yell or hit in this house, and we exercise patience at all costs.
Please let me know if you're interested! Also please let me know if you think you'll have flexibility to stay later on occasion (no later than 12). Sometimes we like to grab Mexican after playing, and I'd love to be able to participate in that sometimes.
Thank you!
Coloring/ painting, playing with toys in his room, watching curious George, Daniel Tiger, Bluey, Ms Rachel, or "The paw patrol movie with crystals" - which is "Paw Patrol - The Mighty Movie" on Paramount Plus lol.
Patience - he has a vocal tic that often sounds like a grunt. Just ignore it completely - act like you don't even hear it. This is the best treatment to avoid worsening the tic
Patience, genuine love for kids, nurturing instincts, love of pets, calming energy.
