I have helped numerous individuals dramatically improve their reading skills. I am trained in five different Orton-Gillingham programs and offer tutoring services tailored to meet the needs of the client. Professional positions I have held include elementary, secondary, collegiate, and administrative levels. I am a reading specialist with masters in reading and a doctorate in administrative leadership in teaching and learning.

My youngest clients have been preschoolers. The oldest one was 80 years old. One of my client's life was totally transformed when I taught him to read at 50-years old. Several clients have been school-aged children who were able to pass state-mandated reading assessments after tutoring.

I have the skill and credentials to administer a variety of nationally norm-referenced assessments and use the International Dyslexia Association's definition of dyslexia to evaluate the results. Adult clients have been relieved to get a better understanding of why they have struggled with reading. Parents of school-age children greatly appreciate my assistance because I have helped them understand why their child is struggling in reading, helped navigate the 504 and/or special education process, and provided quality tutoring tailored to meet the academic needs of their child.
