Hello, I am looking for a tutor for my daughter who is in 7th grade. She has ADHD and ASD (level 1). She also struggles academically and is currently working at the 3rd grade level for math and 4th grade level for English. However, she learns well and is engaged in a 1:1 setting. Stonington family needs a part-time tutor for Math. Specifically, pre-algebra skills now moving into algebra. My child has learning disabilities we can discuss but is motivated, hard working, but just needs one-on-one help to be able to get into mainstream algebra 1 before next year if possible. His case manager at school said we need pre-algebra skills taught and mastered first. We will be able to do weekdays most of the time but he is going to play golf in school starting in a month and then for those few months will need either sat or Sunday sessions. We live in Stonington. My son is the sweetest person and wants to succeed, he just needs more one-on-one help. He prefers people who are "warm" and patient as well as his processing speed can lag a bit but is getting better.
