My 11-year-old has had anxiety since his grades slipped recently. I truly believe he fell behind on math a little and spiraled from there, and now has brought his anxiety up 10 fold. Went from being top of the class, to the bottom half. His self worth is very low and doesn't want to even go to school now. He is a great reader, but his spelling/ grammar have always been shaky. Now math and spelling/ grammar is a problem for him. I am wanting to get him Japanese lessons as well. He is very interested Japanese, but needs to be used as an incentive to get his grades up. What I am trying accomplish is to get help with math, spelling, and grammar. Japanese as a reward for the end stretch of the session. His face lit up when I mentioned Japanese tutoring. He was excited to learn again and we needed that spark back. He needs the confidence first
