Mahopac family needs a part-time tutor for Honors Global Studies, Study Skills, Honors Chemistry.

My daughter is in first grade and is having trouble learning to read at grade level. She also is not grasping basic math skills as well as she should be at this point. Her teacher is concerned she is falling too far behind. We are looking to meet twice a week during the school year and once a week during school vacations.

Tutoring should occur in our home and my husband will be here since he works from home. We also have a friendly golden doodle so please be comfortable with pets. Grand Blanc family needs a part-time tutor for 1 or 2 children struggling with reading/language arts. Pretty certain both boys have dyslexia. They haven't been tested, but it seems pretty certain. One boy would be 4th grade and probably reading at a 2nd-3rd grade level. I'd like to get him closer to grade level and increase his confidence in reading, writing, and spelling. Second boy is first grade and just beginning to learn to read. We have mainly been working on phonological awareness up to this point and it's still a struggle. We are a homeschooling family and using All About Reading for both kids. Just had a baby earlier this year and I could use some help getting these boys back on track.

Shoreline family needs tutor for 5yo who is showing early signs of significant dyslexia. Grandma is a licensed child psychologist and former sped teacher and identified the issue. We can meet at a library or convenient location or host at our house. Probably looking for 30 minutes at least 2x/week. Can be flexible and follow your lead about what she needs and what we should do to help.

Daughter has ADHD. Needs help with her homework and foundational skills. Grades are As and Bs but she has a lot of anxiety and low self -confidence/-esteem. Prefer ADHD experience and need someone with empathy and to engage and build her confidence. Opportunity to continue tutoring in the summer.
