I have been a volunteer at a Retirement Village where my mother was a nurse. I would assist the residents with their dinning time and individual time. One patient who has cerebral palsy, I would assist with all his special needs and go out with him to run errands.

I have lived next door to a girl who has microcephaly and babysat her as she grew up. I always assisted her with her needs and she was a great joy. Then in college I made friends who had cerebral palsy, and visually impaired, and we are all still friends now. I enjoy working with others who need a little more understanding.
