I have been caring for individuals with mental disabilities for over 12 years and it holds a special place in my heart. I have had the opportunity to take care of individuals with cerebral palsy, Alzheimer's, autism and etc. by providing assistance with daily living activities and daily routines.

There were children in my care that were delayed in performing everyday needs like toileting, eating, and speaking, and playing with other children who were not a special needs child. I would give these children more of my time and patience to make sure that they were not excluded in the daily activities of care.
