I am a California native who now lives in Kansas City, MO. I attended the University of Pennsylvania attaining a B. A. in comparative literature with a concentration in Russian and English literature. I also completed pre-medicine post baccalaureate courses at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA. I have worked as aresearch technician at the University of Pennsylvania for 5 years in the microbiology and physiology fields. I am proficient in Italian and Spanish. I have goals of becoming a veterinarian. I currently am a Master's of Science student at UMKC in Cell and Molecular Biology.
I have an extensive tutoring experience in mentoring 6th-11th graders in an education enrichment program called Ase Academy in Philadelphia, PA. I acted as a Chemistry, English, and Biology teacher to the students. I also provided and facilitated after school tutoring sessions. Furthermore, I acted as a SAT and PSAT tutor for the high school aged participants. I participated in this program for 3 years during my undergrad at UPenn. For two years in Las Vegas, I was a test prep tutor for Nevada State College, UNLV, and high schools in the Vegas Valley.
In high school, I was the valedictorian at a prestigious all girl Catholic school. During my high school career I was on the National Honor Society and acted as a tutor in the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, World History, Geometry, Algebra I, Algebra II, Math Analysis, and Spanish.
