Is anyone thinking of sending their children to summer camp? Where?
Day-camps or overnight camps?

My daughter does summer camp every year. I am home so we could keep her home for the summer however we found that we drive each other crazy in this equasion! She enjoys the social aspect and it is beneficial for her. She is not enrolled at a "special" camp, she is mainstreamed at school so we also enrolled her in a "regular" summer camp. The counsolors are aware she has Asperger's (mild) and love her! :)

We've found a Social Skills camp. My son went two years ago and loved it. They do regular camp activities, crafts and snacks with social skills and OT worked in. It also includes typical peers in the group.

My son has been going for the last couple of years to Springhill camp in Evart Mi. he loves it and although it is a christian camp it has help a little with his social issues, He excels in school, he just has social issues along with aspergers he has ocd, odd, adhd, anxiety and we have so many issues at home and I find myself having a hard time understanding how to help him in the best possible way. the councilor can only help so much when they are not going through what i am i just dont think they know how hard it can be raising a son of 13 with all these different issues rolled up in one person, If anyone out can help with ideas Im open to listen.
