I have done in-home care since my early twenties. My skills include everything from companionship and meal prep to hospice care. I obtained a BSN in nursing in 2011 but due to an illness I was unable to practice. But I carry that knowledge with me. Coming into a families home and taking care of their loved one is a sacred event and I treat it as such. Inviting someone into these very personal places is difficult and I treat the client and the family with dignity and respect and try to make these difficult times as easy as possible. We are not at our best when we are sick. It's just a fact. We get grumpy and ornery and sometimes just downright pissed off. Being sick and getting older isn't fair. It's just as important to honor these difficult emotions and times as well as the good times. I strive to treat the whole person. The good the bad and the ugly. Nobody likes poop and nobody likes a grump. But they happen, and it's ok. All of it can be dealt with with dignity.

I wholeheartedly recommend Zahira as a caregiver. Our family was incredibly fortunate to have her care for my 78-year-old mother. My mother faced significant health challenges, including morbid obesity, congestive heart failure (CHF) which severely limited her mobility, and debilitating arthritis in her knees. These physical limitations, coupled with a difficult temperament, made finding the right caregiver a daunting task. Zahira exceeded all our expectations. From the very beginning, Zahira demonstrated a deep understanding of senior care. She didn't just go through the motions; she proactively addressed my mother's specific needs. One example of this was her expertise in incontinence care. Zahira's extensive knowledge allowed her to identify and obtain the perfect incontinence supplies for my mother, significantly improving her comfort and dignity. Beyond her technical skills, Zahira's impact on my mother's mobility was remarkable. Through patience and encouragement, she worked with my mother, helping her regain a level of mobility we hadn't thought possible. This improvement was not only physical but also had a profound positive effect on my mother's emotional well-being. Speaking of emotional well-being, Zahira's incredible attitude was a true gift. She approached my mother with compassion, respect, and unwavering patience, even when faced with challenging behavior. Her positive and supportive demeanor made a huge difference in my mother's overall mood and outlook. Zahira’s presence was a source of comfort and stability for our entire family. In short, Zahira is an exceptional caregiver. Her combination of expertise, compassion, and a truly remarkable attitude makes her an invaluable asset to any family seeking care for a loved one. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
