Ruth has been a caregiver for my 94 year old mother. She has demonstrated many great qualities as a caregiver. I know that when she comes to take care of my mom that my mom will get both her physical and emotional needs taken care of. Ruth is a trained certified nursing assistant so she understands how to identify potential problems and also how to prevent problems and offers solutions. Ruth is skilled in her assessment of whether or not, my mom is in pain or if she is unable to move in a certain way. She helps to move my mom‘s body when my mom is unable by doing range of motion exercises, but is also very gentle. My mother has difficulty verbalizing and Ruth is perceptive and notices when my mom is hungry or needs a change in scenery. Ruth will actively engage my mom in creative activities such as playing ball, or conversation. When she has come to take care of my mom, I always feel confident and relaxed that my mom will get great care for the day. And I noticed that when she is caring for my mom that my mom is engaged and seems very happy.
